In May 2023, Step Afrika! was honored to perform at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture for our very own Vice President, Kamala Harris. After the performance, VP Harris joined Step Afrika!’s Founder and Executive Producer, C. Brian Williams; Executive Director, Lamar Lovelace; and artists, Robert Wanrsley, Pelham Warner Jr., and Conrad R. Kelly II for a meet and greet.
Step Afrika! is also featured in the NMAAHC’s Explore More! exhibit, an interactive, multifaceted educational space dedicated to helping visitors connect and engage with African American history and culture in ways that expand perspectives, spark curiosity and creativity, and increase knowledge.
