The Dance Company Celebrates its 25th Anniversary
Washington Life, July 28, 2019

“Washington’s largest African American arts organization Step Afrika! is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and rich history as one of the preeminent dance companies of its kind in the United States.

Each year the Company’s 14 full-time dancers tour more than 50 cities round the globe, performing a combination of step, South African traditional dance, gumboot, and more. Howard University graduate C. Brian Williams founded the dance group in 1994 after returning from a life-changing trip to South Africa. Step Afrika!’s Anniversary Celebration will be held on June 6.”
