The delegation to the 3rd Step Afrika! International Cultural Festival expanded to include filmmakers, writers, visual artists, dance historians, and more. Painters Charles Nelson (USA) and Alex Maphalala (South Africa) worked alongside young students to create an incredible painting.
Designed around a traditional Swazi necklace (pictured below), half of the painting remains in South Africa with the other half residing in the United States.
